  • Robin Turner– Public Policy & Legal Director at the Montana Coalition Against Domestic & Sexual Violence in Helena, Montana

We will be training on topics such as:

  • The crucial role Law Enforcement officers play in decreasing negative victim impact when responding to domestic violence calls
  • Increasing awareness in the potentially lethal cases with strangulation
  • Providing participants with an understanding of Orders of Protection in domestic violence cases and liability issues involved with enforcement and Full Faith and Credit
  • Highlighting danger signs of stalking, typologies of stalkers and how Intimate Partner stalking, like domestic violence, is coercive control where one person attempts to exert power over another
  • Advocate roles and types of advocacy
  • Advocate confidentiality and Advocate Privilege- Protections and responsibilities
  • Survivor Policy
  • Mandatory Reporting
